KALAMAZOO, March 8, 2006 – WSI’s Steve Beebe, Regional Director of Sales and Business Development has been honored by the Western Michigan Business Review in their March 2-8th, 2006 issue of the Top Business Leaders Under 40. Mr. Beebe has helped develop Workforce Strategies Incorporated and has managed to capture over $3 million in billings in WSI’s first year.
Many agencies in the staffing industry struggled in the rough economy of the past four years, but Beebe was able to steer WSI to more than 300 percent increased sales in the Kalamazoo office over a siz-month period and increased dales in the company’s southwest region by over $6 million in just two years.
In addition to his marketing and client service efforts, he worked to improve his own staff, developing employee handbooks, performance-improvement plans and problem/conflict resolution systems.
He has taken an active interest in community development in his hometown since his college days, when he managed the Vicksburg Felpausch grocery store. He has served on the Vicksburg Planning Commission for seven years and presently is chairman. He was elected to the Vickburg Village Council. He is a member of the Downtown Development Authority and the Vicksburg Community Association.
Beebe plans to lead WSI to a position of national leadership in the staffing industry.
“My greatest achievement has been my involvement in the growth of WSI. This has been so fulfilling because of the number of lives this growth has impacted and the number of people that have grown as a result.”
- Steve Beebe, WSI Regional Director of Sales and Business Development
