This manufacturer of flexible metal elements is looking for Machine Operators to join their growing team! As a Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating manufacturing equipment to cut, shape, weld, and bend materials to meet customer specifications. You’ll assist in the production of high quality metal components for the automotive, engineering, and aerospace industries. A typical day as a Machine Operator includes:
- Preparing and operating equipment according to job specifications
- Observing equipment to detect machine malfunctions
- Aligning layout marks with die or blade
- Extracting jammed pieces from machinery
- Setting machine stops to specified lengths
- Performing material and tool changes
- Completing minor machine maintenance
- Inspecting work pieces for quality assurance
- Accurately keeping daily report paperwork
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment
- Training new team members
Let’s chat about the Machine Operator role if you:
- Have strong communication skills to work cross functionally with various departments, read work instructions, and write production reports
- Can repeatedly kneel, crouch, crawl, bend and twist
- Don’t mind the workout that comes with lifting up to 25 lbs repetitively and up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Have great manual dexterity to grip and grasp hand tools and product
- Have previous experience in a manufacturing role (not required, but preferred!)
- Can pass a THC-friendly pre-employment drug screen
We offer Machine Operators:
- On the job training
- Weekly pay ranging from $14.50-$15.50/hour, depending on shift
- A $.50 pay increase after 90 days
- Full time work on all shifts
- A Monday through Thursday schedule (1st shift: 6am-4pm, 2nd shift: 4pm-2am, 3rd shift: 9pm-7am)
- Occasional overtime opportunities on Fridays and Saturdays
