Dye House Operator | Technical Manufacturing
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Pay: $20.00 per hour
Employment Type: Full-Time (Potential for permanent hire after 90 days)
The Role: Precision at Scale
Color is unforgiving. One degree too hot, one minute too long, or one digit entered incorrectly, and the entire batch is lost. As a Dye House Operator, you control that margin for error.
This is a high-stakes technical role for an operator who takes pride in “getting it right the first time.” You will read complex job cards, measure chemicals precisely, monitor heat and timing, and ensure every strand of yarn meets exact specifications. This role is the heartbeat of our production; every finished product across the country depends on the consistency of the color you produce.
Strict Requirements for Success
To maintain our quality standards, we are seeking experienced professionals who meet the following mandatory criteria:
-
Manufacturing Depth: Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
-
Proven Stability: A documented history of job longevity, defined as at least 1 year of continuous employment in each of your most recent professional roles.
-
Technical Literacy: Proficient with industrial machine controllers, digital scales, barcode scanners, and production software.
-
Attention to Detail: Ability to follow detailed written, verbal, and diagram instructions with zero deviation.
-
Language: Must be able to speak, read, and write English fluently for safety and data recording.
-
Physical Capability: Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs, climb stairs/ladders, and work comfortably in confined spaces.
Your Daily Impact
-
Prepare: Stage yarn and chemicals according to strict job card instructions.
-
Execute: Assist the Lead Dye Technician during dye cycles and operate industrial RF yarn dryers.
