Temporary Payroll Administrative Coordinator
Up to $22/hour based on experience
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Administrative Coordinator to support
our payroll and administrative team. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate
records, administering child support and garnishment orders, supporting government
reporting requirements, and performing a variety of payroll-related administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting & Compliance
Administer Child Support (Friend of the Court) orders, including setup, monitoring, and
timely payments
Process and manage wage garnishments (e.g., tax levies, creditor garnishments)
Ensure compliance with applicable garnishment laws and requirements
Prepare and submit required government reports (federal, state, and local)
Assist with audits by gathering payroll documentation and reports
Track and maintain records of filings, payments, and deadlines
Administrative Duties
Maintain payroll records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
Respond to inquiries in a timely manner and escalate as needed
Maintain files, including updates to personal and tax information
Track benefit deductions and assist with submission for payment
Support weekly payroll processing
Verify employee hours and flag discrepancies for review
Role Scope
Supports payroll through administrative and data-related tasks
Works under the direction of the Payroll Manager
Supports a high-volume, weekly payroll environment
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
1–3 years of payroll, administrative, or data entry experience
Basic understanding of payroll processes and compliance requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace, and payroll systems
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to handle sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with timekeeping systems
Basic knowledge of payroll laws, taxes, and garnishment regulations
Experience with Child Support or wage garnishment processing
Experience in high-volume or staffing environments
Familiarity with systems such as Avionté
