The back side of an injection molding operation is where the raw material story begins. Before a single part comes off the press, the Material Handler is responsible for pulling the correct resin, setting up the feed system, verifying the dryer is properly dialed in, and completing the documentation that confirms everything was done accurately.
This Material Handler will work in an injection molding facility in Grand Haven, that produces molded plastic components across three shifts, operating around the clock. The environment is clean, organized, and process-driven, with leadership that remains visible and engaged on every shift. It’s the kind of facility that values the employees who keep production running smoothly and efficiently.
As a Material Handler, you’ll pull, scan, and transport raw material from the warehouse to the manufacturing area, set up the resin feeding system, and monitor material flow to make sure the feed stays consistent. You’ll operate the dryer system, maintain hopper set points, and keep up with the documentation that goes along with both. During mold changes, you’ll verify that resin is within established process parameters and sign off accordingly. Line clearance on the feed lines, vacuum filter inspection, and general housekeeping round out the day. Forklift operation is part of the routine, and the role requires lifting up to 50 pounds along with the bending, squatting, and physical movement that comes with working an active production floor.
