As an Assembler , you’ll build to spec, measure twice, and make parts fit like they were meant to be together. You’ll also pick, pack, and check outbound orders so customers get exactly what they need. The work is steady, the team is supportive, and your accuracy matters. This Michigan-based fluid power distributor has supplied hoses, fittings, seals, valves, and engineered assemblies across the Midwest for over six decades. Headquartered in Portage with multiple regional branches, the company backs a customer-first mission with stocked inventory, quick turnaround, and in-house engineering support.

Each day you’ll read work instructions and basic blueprints, stage parts and tools, assemble subcomponents, verify dimensions, document results, then keep the area tidy and safe. You’ll rotate between stations, support order picking and packing, and flag any quality issues before parts leave the building.

We offer this position:

$17.00 per hour, 1st shift 6:00 am to 3:00 pm, weekly pay
Comfortable, clean environment with a positive team atmosphere
Ability to cross-train in multiple stations
Temp-to-hire. Eligible for permanent hire at 500 hours with a raise based on performance and attitude
A $100 bonus for every friend you refer to us, plus an additional $25 bonus for your referral to WSI

Qualifications

Prior hands-on assembly, warehouse, or production experience
Able to read a tape measure and follow basic blueprints or diagrams
Must be able to speak, write, and read basic English
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
Stand or walk for long periods and keep a steady work pace
Basic problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
Reliable attendance and willingness to rotate between stations
Follow safety rules and complete simple production and quality forms
