Important Information

Effective December 17, 2021: the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals reinstated the OSHA’s Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) for COVID-19. This ETS establishes a mandatory policy requirement for private employers – including all staffing agencies – with 100 or more employees to obtain proof of vaccination from employees who have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

What does this mean for me?

  • If you ARE vaccinated against COVID-19, please send a photo of your vaccination card (front and back) using the above button by January 10, 2022.
  • If you are NOT vaccinated against COVID-19, you don’t need to do anything at this point in time. Keep in mind that for those who are unvaccinated, there may be weekly testing requirements beginning February 2022.

Why is OSHA documenting vaccination status of employees?

To help mitigate the effects of COVID-19 and it’s various strains. For those who are unvaccinated, there may be weekly testing requirements beginning February 2022. WSI is keeping a close eye on these developments and will update as necessary.

Are other staffing agencies documenting vaccination status too?

Yes. The ETS establishes a mandatory policy requirement for private employers – including all staffing agencies – with 100 or more employees to obtain proof of vaccination from employees who have been vaccinated against COVID-19.

What If I Lost My Vaccination Card?

If you have lost your CDC COVID-19 Vaccination Record card or don’t have a copy, contact your vaccination provider directly to access your vaccination record.

  • If you cannot contact your vaccination provider site directly, contact your state health department’s immunization information system (IIS). Vaccination providers are required to report COVID-19 vaccinations to their IIS and related systems.
  • If you enrolled in v-safe or VaxText after your first vaccine dose, you can access your vaccination information using those tools.
  • If you have made every effort to locate your vaccination information, are unable to get a copy or replacement of your vaccination card, and need another COVID-19 vaccine dose, talk to a vaccination provider.

Does my vaccination status affect my employment?

We cannot emphasize this enough: ABSOLUTELY NOT! We cannot force you to get the COVID vaccine and understand it is a personal choice. As a business that meets the OSHA ETS requirements, we are simply complying by keeping vaccination status records. For those who are unvaccinated, there may be weekly testing requirements beginning February 2022. WSI is following ETS updates closely and will update as necessary.
